Having had their share of porky players down the years, West Ham have managed to sign up another weighty lad up front – Ray Winstone.

Life long Hammers fan Winstone, has turned pin-up for the East London club to promte their awful new home kit for the season.

Having ripped off all the kids last season by flogging a new kit with shirt sponsors XL holidays emblazoned across it – when the holiday firm went bust, the Hammers simply slapped their new sponsors logo over the top and sold some more.

Personally, I think the new kit is awful, but who is going to argue with movie star Ray Winstone. Not me. Ray told WHTV: “This is beautiful, it is claret and blue, what else do you want?”

New shirt makers Umbro seem to have gone for a dodgy check print – no doubt kids will still demand one from their parents. £30 for kids and ladies versions, £40 for fat-boy men.
