Looking like someone from camp pop band the Village People, Emmanuel Adebayor arrived at Eastlands to officially become Man City’s latest waste of cash big summer signing.
The 2008 African Player of the year arrived to the welcome from 300 fans, with the ex-Arsenal player hugely impressed by the big turn out in Manchester, “It made me feel really welcome and special and I can’t wait to play for City’s fans and show them what I can do” declared Adebayor after signing up for a annual salary bigger then most national debts.
The 300 fans must of been very underwhelming when you think of Ronaldo’s arrival at Real Madrid, where 80,000 bothered to wave and get over excited about the Portuguese winker.
Adebayor has signed a 5 year contract with his transfer fee remaining undisclosed.
