It seems we may of been too hasty when we suggested Terry would not leave Chelsea turns out he had a hasty meeting with Chelsea chairman Roman Abramovich yesterday afternoon.
According to the Times, Abramovich is reluctant to match the ridiculous salary of £1m per month that Man City is offering to tempt the Chelsea skipper away from West London.
Chelsea have made an offer to Terry making him the highest paid star at the club, reportedly an offer of £150,000 per week.
The Russian billionaire has already turned down a £30m offer from Man City for the defender’s services, however should Terry decide to place Man City’s billions ahead of his devotion to Chelsea, the West Londoners will force JT to raise a formal transfer request and make clear to all the fans that the player is the driving force behind the move.
Man City remain confident of getting their man ahead of the new season, stating that Terry is disappointed by the fact that Chelsea have failed to add top-class players to the squad, and he also felt he should of been consulted over the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti.
No doubt the rumour mill will rumble on for a little longer. Watch this space.
