Possibly the most amusing story of the day, is the fact that FIFA have taken the rather unusual step of banning Chelsea from making any new signings in the next two transfer windows, leaving the club unable to bring in new players until January 2011.
The West London club were found guilty of inducing French teenager Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with another club. Perhaps now Chelsea will make a small profit in the next couple of seasons.
French team Lens had complained to FIFA two years ago, when Kakuta departed France for Chelsea, the FIFA board have now upheld Lens’ claims and have ruled that Kakuta breached his contract, which Chelsea making him do so.
Doesn’t matter much anyway as Man City are planning to buy all the players that once only Chelsea could afford.
